Are you wrapping gifts this Christmas? Do you have paper that glistens or shines?
Does the color and texture fit the gift? Does the print have the perfect design?
Take time to consider this truth, one I’m trusting that you won’t forsake:
Jesus arrived wrapped as a baby with God’s Plan of Redemption at stake.
See, He came to the world as a gift. His arrival, a masterful plan.
Although He was wrapped as a baby, He came to die for the sins of man.
So this precious child, this gift, would grow and the impact He would make
Caused Him to transform from gift to wrapping with each step towards Purpose He’d take.
As Jesus would die for all of our sins, with the life-giving blood He shed,
He took our place at Calvary’s cross so we’d become gifts, wrapped in red.
We’re wrapped in red. Wrapped in red, no longer bound, but free.
Now we’re wrapped in red. Thank God, it’s true. Jesus proved it on that tree.
We’re wrapped in red. We’re wrapped in red– no limits, no guilt, no shame.
We’re wrapped in red, wrapped in red, all because Jesus Christ came.
In order to give everyone a chance to escape sin’s penalty.
He came to wrap us. He shed His blood. He did this for you and me.
Wrapping gifts this Christmas?
Remember the baby, born to die in our stead.
Jesus made us Sons & Daughters of God.
Now, we are the gifts, wrapped in red.
